“We tell everybody to look for the fence,” said Glenn Palhof, who owns Kustom Glass with his wife, Kathy. He is referencing the directions he gives to first-time customers and the green fence that surrounds their property on Citrus Avenue.
The name “Kustom Glass” does not even begin to describe the number of things that Glenn and Kathy produce at their shop. Originally from New Hampshire, the Palhofs found their way down to Florida in the 1980s. They’ve been in business since 1985, and built the building that currently houses their business in 1994.
They do signs of all kinds, having the ability to print letters up to 44” tall. (They do smaller signs too). They can put lettering on your business windows or on your vehicle. They make awards, plaques and trophies, name tags, and can even
engrave custom gifts.
One of the most interesting places you can find a sign made by them is on a shipwreck 300’ down at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Iceland.
Because they do so many things, every work day is different. “All the years we’ve been in business, we never know what our job is for that day,” said Glenn.
Kustom Glass is located 5086 N. Citrus Ave. Crystal River, Florida. Just look for the green fence!
