Dear Members,

Just like when there’s a hurricane out there, we have been receiving Emergency Response Team emails in abundance, about twice per day. While some of the script changes each time, information about some resources for businesses has been provided.

As of today, here are short explanations and links to information we have received from multiple sources that may be helpful to you:

The Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program is currently available to small business owners located in all Florida counties statewide that experienced economic damage as a result of COVID-19.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is providing Disaster Assistance Loans for small businesses impacted by Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Centers for Disease Control has a page set up for resources for businesses.

Governor Ron DeSantis has activated the Business Damage Assessment Survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on Florida’s local business operations.

If Floridians’ employment has been negatively impacted because of mitigation efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, these Floridians may be eligible to receive Reemployment Assistance.

The Short Time Compensation Program helps employers retain their workforce in times of temporary slowdown by encouraging work sharing as an alternative to layoff.

If I forgot anything and you know something else we should share, please feel free to email us at [email protected] instead.

Please email us at the above email address or call the office at 352-489-2320. Tell us about any changes in your business operation or hours, what you need help with, or if you have the ability to help a business or the community at large. We want to do whatever we can to help you and the community that supports you.

Please use the office phone and email (email is best in case we have to close the office) as contacts for now.  We are having difficulty keeping up with texts and Facebook Messenger.

Thanks, Julie
